Kristen Cole, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Kristen's passion for mental health began over 20 years ago. Before becoming a nurse, she earned a bachelors of science in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While doing so, she volunteered in various psychiatric settings including UNC Hospitals, Butner State Psychiatric Hospital, and a local private practice. She graduated at the top of her nursing class from Technical College of the Lowcountry in Beaufort, SC. She has been licensed as a registered nurse since 2012 and has worked in medical-surgical, neonatal intensive and progressive care, labor and delivery, and behavioral health. Kristen earned her Masters in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University and is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Following certification, she worked for the Medical University of South Carolina, performing psychiatric consultations and medication recommendations for patients and providers across the state of South Carolina. Her clinical interests include depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, bipolar, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, ADHD and insomnia. She is proud to offer medication management to help improve the quality of life for those living with such conditions.
